High Rollin Las Vegas

Updated: Apr 15, 2018

Las Vegas

I was definitely rolling around high in Las Vegas. I went for a spring break trip and it was just before they legalized weed but you know I had my vape pen. While feeling like a high roller we stayed at the Palms/Casino/Resort/Spa.

Palms Casino Resort

Palms Casino Resort is a 4-star hotel. This 3-towered, upscale casino resort is 0.8 miles from the Las Vegas Strip and 4.4 miles from McCarran International Airport.

The contemporary-chic rooms feature luxe bathrooms, Wi-Fi and flat-screen TVs. Some suites have kitchens and/or separate living rooms, while others offer private lanais with hot tubs.

Dining options include an upmarket steakhouse, Italian and French options. Amenities include a casino, a theater with live music and entertainment, multiple stylish bars and nightclubs, and a 14-screen cinema. There are 2 outdoor pools (1 rooftop), a spa and a gym, plus a free shuttle to the Strip.

After checking in and getting our bag full of goodies (2 Visa Gift Cards with $75 on each card, 2 tickets to Michael Jackson ONE show, 2 tickets to a Dance Party inside the Palazzo, 2 tickets to Spring Break pool party at the SLS Hotel & Casino, check in times for our Maverick Helicopter tour). We freshened up for the welcome party. The welcome party was held at the rooftop pool with open bar and snacks. We had some friends with us and they tested the open bar with adding extra shots to their drinks. I enjoyed puffin along the lit up pool with the views of Las Vegas in the back ground and great company.

Over the next few days we enjoyed the Spring break pool party, the dance party and brunch on the strip paid for with our gift cards along with a few other things like Michael Kors sunglasses for the wifey. Our friends really liked the Michael Jackson ONE show which we were not able to attend because my wife wasn't feeling well. No it wasn't because of drinks haha.

We did treat our taste buds at NOVE Italiano a 4-star Italian Restaurant . Located in Palms Casino Resort on the 51st floor in Fantasy Tower. They offer classic Italian dishes and a nice view from the 51st floor.

This is us and some friends flying over the St. Patrick's Day crowd. The SlotZilla Zip Line is Downtown Las Vegas on Fremont St. It's about 114ft up and you go about 35mph.

Right after zipping over the Downtown Las Vegas crowd we skipped over to The Roller Coaster at the New York-New York Hotel and Casino on the Las Vegas Strip. This ride starts with a 180ft lift and a 76ft drop, followed by a hill and a 144ft drop. It goes up to 67mph and cost like $15 for first ride and last around 2 minutes and 45 seconds.

With a day full of thrills we started our last evening with a helicopter tour.

Whether you call it Sin City or City of Entertainment or City of Lights, there's only one way to see the best Las Vegas has to offer.. from the sky. We were picked up by Maverick at the Palms Casino and offered some champagne while we waited for our turn. Then we experienced the breathtaking sights from the limousine of the sky.

I've been to Las Vegas a few times but this was by far the best trip. We experienced so much in just a few days.
